This will take approximately 2-6 hours, depending on how much air circulation is in the room. Shake vigorously to release any trapped water droplets inside the core. Just make sure to use a mild detergent or vinegar and avoid using hot water. Spot clean the soiled area (or the whole mattress!) with cold or cool water. Place the Wovenaire in the shower or tub. Once the cover is removed, the Wovenaire core can also be washed. Should an odor occur, simply refresh by washing again with the above instructions and adding 1/2 cup of baking soda to the wash.Ģ. This Viscose material has natural absorptive properties, which can result in odor from moisture if left damp, like wool. Do NOT hang to dry.ĪVOID keeping the encasement damp or wet. Dry immediately in the dryer, drying thoroughly on a low heat setting. Re-zip each cover closed separately before washing on cold water with mild detergent. Simply unzip and remove the cover from the Wovenaire core. We recommend washing the inner and outer covers at the same time for a balanced load however, it's best not to add any other laundry to the cycle. After this initial wash, please follow the instructions on the care tag ( and details below! ) for all future washes. Your cover should fit properly after doing so. Before first use, we recommend that you wash the outer cover (not the inner viscose layer) in hot water and dry on a warm setting until completely dry. Our covers are machine washable and designed to shrink to fit after the first wash. Upon arrival, the cover may appear a bit loose on the core.
